Standards: A Name You Can Trust
The standards of Drake Medox are exceptionally high -- only personnel who meet these standards are employed by us. All nursing and support staff are professionally trained and accredited by their legislating body and undergo extensive screening and interview procedures before they become part of our group. They must also successfully complete the Drake Medox Orientation Program.
Quality Assurance
We believe that quality assurance begins with the hiring process and view recruitment, orientation, and training as the primary responsibility of management.
Drake Medox has a full quality assurance program with a thorough and disciplined approach to quality initiatives. Experienced case managers work closely with each client throughout the duration of service to ensure that client needs & expectations are met or exceeded. The elements of our Quality Assurance program are;
- Written procedures and protocols for all aspects of service
- Compliance with current standards, principles and guidelines established by the Canadian Nurses Association, the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba and the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba.
- Hiring practices consistent with Provincial labor and licensing standards.
- Written job description for each position; all employees receive a copy
- Nursing supervision available to respond to needs immediately
- Sign-off requirement for demonstrating competency
- Registered Nurse on duty 24 hours daily to supervise client care and monitor and evaluate performance of staff.
- Performance appraisals completed in accordance with written process and maintained annually or as required.
- On-going education opportunities to ensure staff have updated knowledge
- Consumer-based quality control reports completed after termination of assignment, or monthly.

Our commitment to our clients is reflected in our staff. All staff are interviewed in person, thoroughly tested, reference checked and required to have recent related work experience, recognized training, certification, Police and Abuse registry checks.

Drake Medox is in compliance with all applicable Provincial labor standards and legislation, including Workplace Health and Safety. Our staff are covered by General Liability Insurance, including malpractice and bonding. Staff receive competitive compensation and paid benefits including insurances and Workers Compensation coverage.
Drake Medox staff are responsible to comply with the Personal Health Information Act. This guarantees confidentiality of your personal health information. This information can only be shared with other health professionals with your authorization.
